About Dr Elizabeth Green

Dr Elizabeth Green graduated from Melbourne University in 1982. She worked in hospitals and in rural and city general practice before landing a job with the Royal Flying Doctor Service in Kalgoorlie, Western Australia. Working with the children of the outback empowered her to become a paediatrician and pursue a career in developmental paediatrics for 24 years in Perth/Boorloo. She is the author of Parenting is Forever: A paediatrician’s tips for parents, teachers and carers (UWA Publishing, 2017) and a medical writer and advocate for what impacts our kids: anxiety, autism and ADHD. Her short story, Tiger Wave, was longlisted in the Best Australian Yarn Competition 2022. She is also the parent of two daughters that she loves unconditionally and forever.

Fun fact: She sometimes wears makeup, hates sorting socks and jocks and loves eating ice cream in winter.
